Kim Everitt
Test & Development Engineer
As a test and development engineer my key duties and responsibilities are to create test procedures and plan vehicle level testing, working with colleagues from several departments to help meet our project deliverables for the whole team to succeed. Most recently I have contributed to the team by organising logistics, coordinating activities and carrying out testing on our refuse collection vehicle.
I graduated in automotive engineering with motorsport BEng from the University of Hertfordshire in 2018 and since then have gained professional experience working for HORIBA-MIRA, Bosch and Aston Martin – where my roles focused around vehicle testing and controls software development.
I have always been fascinated by the evolution of technology and the potential of alternative fuels. My role at BMS has given me the opportunity to work with clean technologies of the future, as well as develop my knowledge of vehicle and control systems in new areas even further. As I continue to grow in my career, the ability to interface with the latest solutions, contribute to the wider community and focus on professional development are especially important to me and I am enthusiastic about building my skillset and competencies even more at BMS.
Outside of work I enjoy keeping active through a range of activities such as cycling, bowling and hiking. At the end of 2021 I climbed Mount Snowdon, which was a fun and exciting achievement for me.
