Ballard Motive Solutions wins Scottish Engineering Excellence Award

Ballard Motive Solutions (BMS) was one of nine companies recognised for outstanding performance by Scottish Engineering at their annual awards ceremony in Glasgow on May 26.

BMS CEO, Ben Todd, and head of HR, Karen Colburn, were on hand to pick up the 'Engineering Excellence' prize, which is acknowledgement of the company's key objectives in Scotland aimed at decarbonising local authority fleets and public transport in city locations, creating hydrogen supply, building skills, capabilities and job opportunities, and developing the Scottish supply chain.

Dr Todd said: “I’m delighted that the BMS team has been recognised for their engineering expertise and the innovation they apply across all our fuel cell powertrain integration projects. We’re proud to be a part of the Scottish zero-emission transport evolution as we establish and grow our Powertrain Centre of Excellence in Dundee.”

Highlighting the organisations and individuals who have displayed exceptional levels of professional excellence within engineering and manufacturing, the Scottish Engineering awards were launched almost 30 years ago to celebrate the best home-grown Scottish talent in the industry.
